NEXT SHARES- an ELiTE graduate from the Keeneland November 2017 sale- earns his first G1 win in the 2018 rendition of the $1,000,000 Shadwell Turf Mile.
Sold to David Meah, agent for $190,000, the 5-year-old gelding has run 9 times for the new connections of Iavarone, McClanahan, Dunn, Marasa, Robershaw and Taylor. In those 9 starts, he’s competed against G1/G2 company in 7 and earned over $919,890.
Entering the gate at odds of 23-1, jockey Tyler Gaffalione gave him a picture-perfect ride where he was able to slip up the rail and draw off in a 3 1/4 length victory.
NEXT SHARES is now ELiTE’s second G1 winning graduate from the 2017 Keeneland November Sale.
